Sanat\u00e7\u0131 30 Mart 1746&#8217;da \u0130spanya&#8217;n\u0131n Aragon b\u00f6lgesindeki r\u00fczgarl\u0131, \u00e7orak ve k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck Fuendetodos k\u00f6y\u00fcnde do\u011fmu\u015ftur. Gen\u00e7 ya\u015fta sanata olan yetene\u011fi fark edilen Goya, e\u011fitimini Zaragoza&#8217;da ve daha sonra sanat\u0131n kalbi olan \u0130talya&#8217;da tamamlayarak sanat d\u00fcnyas\u0131na sa\u011flam bir ad\u0131m atm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Goya i\u00e7in sanat; ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00f6nemin klasik kurallar\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6tesinde, toplumun, sava\u015f\u0131n, korkunun ve insan do\u011fas\u0131n\u0131n karanl\u0131k taraflar\u0131n\u0131n anlat\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir ifade bi\u00e7imidir.
